What is Low mood and Depression?
Up to 15% of people experience depression at some point in their life. The reason why it happens differs from person to person. The stresses and strains of life can make a person feel down, lose interest in the things that they usually enjoyed and
experience some anxiety. If this carries on for more than a couple of weeks, it can lead to depression. Symptoms of depression include poor concentration,
appetite disturbance, poor sleep and negative thoughts. Research shows that people are reluctant to come forward with depression, particularly men, as they may feel embarrassed or ashamed.
